Inside Maison Elle Paris, The First Hotel From Elle Magazine

Elle is one of the top women’s fashion magazines in the world. Now, the brand has opened its first fashion-forward hotel in Paris' 17th arrondissement.

The world of fashion and five-star hospitality have been known to crossover on occasion—especially in the haute couture capital of Paris. Recently, there have been a slate of fashionable new openings including LVMH’s Cheval Blanc Paris and Bvlgari Hôtel Paris. The latest is the new four-star Maison Elle, the first hotel by the fashion media brand via its newly introduced arm, Elle Hospitality.

Set just off the Champs-Élysées, close to the Arc de Triomphe, the bijou new bolthole is ultra-chic, fresh and modern thanks to French designers Laurent & Laurence, whose portfolio includes other Parisian boutique hotels like Le Narcisse Blanc Hôtel & Spa and La Maison Favart.

The space pays tribute to all things fashion, taking a visual identity from Paris’ couture darlings and most famous designers, including Coco Chanel and Yves Saint-Laurent. Accessible via a small staircase, Suite Atelier stands apart, with a gas fireplace; while the Terrace Suite has nearly 90 square feet of outdoor space. Throughout the hotel, original artwork of drawings and sketches can be enjoyed, sourced from the archives of Elle magazine, which dates back to 1945 and currently has 45 editions in publication around the world.

In addition to the 25 guestrooms, there is also a small spa (with a treatment room, steam room, sauna and yoga studio); a library and lounge offering breakfast, cocktails (created in collaboration with the Nectar Cocktail Club) and tea time pastries by Nicolas Paciello of CinqSens); and a boutique with French-focused items made just for the new hotel.

This is just the first of many openings planned by Elle Hospitality, with another project already in development in Bangkok, as well as Elle cafés (for Taiwan, Pattaya, Phuket and Japan) and spas/salons (for China, Japan and India) also in the pipeline.

Rates at Maison Elle Paris start from €250.
